Seriously considering getting a full smile makeover in Turkey, probably Antalya, as the prices are so much better than here in the UK. But honestly, the big question nagging at me is: Is it safe to get teeth done in Turkey? I've seen amazing pics online but also some horror stories. How do you actually find a legit clinic? Any advice or experiences would be massively appreciated, especially regarding safety checks.

I was asking myself is it safe to get teeth done in Turkey before I went last year. Did my homework for months! Went to a clinic in Istanbul that had loads of UK reviews and proper certs (like ISO). Had 20 crowns done. Honestly, felt safer than my old dentist back home. The place was spotless, tech was newer than my local one, and the dentist spoke perfect English. Paid about €4,500 all-in for top zirconia crowns, transfers, hotel – would've been £15k+ here. Healing was fine, no probs since. Just research REALLY well, don't just go for cheapest.

She was super nervous but her dentist explained everything, showed the labs they use (in the clinic!), and let her see the materials. She paid around £1,800 for 8 veneers. They look fab, honestly. Her recovry was quick too. She said hygeine was excellent, better than some places here. Just make sure they have actual before/afters of real patients, not just stock pics! Defo check Google maps reviews properly.

Avoid the "factories". My mate went to a place in Bodrum that was cheaper, had a nightmare with infections. I went to a highly recommended place in Ankara – had implants. Cost me €2,300 per implant (including crown), all sterile, 3D scans, the works. Zero issues 2 years on. Do NOT skip the consultation call. Ask about sterilisation procedures directly. Also, get everything in writing beforehand!

They picked me up, everything was super organised. Clinic was pristine, dentist was lovely and qualified (checked his credentials online!). Paid €650 for 6 teeth. Had a tiny bit sensitivity after but it went away quick. My biggest tip? Join FB groups specifically for dental work in Turkey – real people post their experiences (good and bad) daily. Look for clinics mentioned consistently for your specific treatment in cities like Istanbul, Izmir, or Antalya. Don't rush choosing! Safety is key, but good places exist.
